This may be the case for Startup Weekend Dayton. Startup Weekend is riding fast and furious into the Dayton, OH area on May 9th - 11th, 2014. Though a bit of tech startup activity has been bubbling up consistently in the last year, this event could determine whether or not the region is really ready to energize a strong grass-roots tech startup movement.
And Dave Best, a local programmer, is riding the lead stallion to bring this event to town. Dave and his team are working pretty damned diligently to make this initial effort a success.
Dave comes to Outside the Valley to converse about all things Startup Weekend. He talks about the history, its success in other markets, and why he's bringing it to Dayton.
